Absol 91/102

Released in HS: Triumphant on November 3, 2010, Absol 91/102 is a Pokémon Prime illustrated by Hideaki Hakozaki. It is Absol’s only Pokémon Prime card, giving it a unique place in the character’s TCG history. Pokémon Prime cards were a special treatment used during the HeartGold & SoulSilver era, recognizable by their close-up artwork, distinctive border design, and holofoil presentation.

The card originated in Japan’s Lost Link expansion as Absol 027/040 before being included in Triumphant for its international release. Lost Link was incorporated into the larger English Triumphant set alongside cards from the Japanese Clash at the Summit expansion.

Absol’s Eye of Disaster Poké-Body is particularly fitting for the Disaster Pokémon. Its Japanese name, *Wazawai no Me* (わざわいのめ), roughly refers to an “eye of disaster,” continuing the recurring use of *wazawai*, or calamity/disaster, on Absol cards.

For Absol collectors, 91/102 stands out not only as Absol’s sole Prime card, but as its only card from the entire HeartGold & SoulSilver Series.
