Forina's Absol 040/ADV-P

Released in Japan in 2003, Forina’s Absol 040/ADV-P is an ADV-P promotional card illustrated by Atsuko Nishida. The card was distributed as a lottery prize for the launch of official Pokémon Card Gym locations, making it a prize release rather than a standard set card.

“Forina” refers to the location featured in *Jirachi: Wish Maker*, where a wild Absol plays a role in the film. A separate Forina’s Absol was included as 008/019 in the Movie Commemoration VS Pack, while 040/ADV-P received its own unique artwork for the promotional release.

For collectors, 040/ADV-P is notable as an early Japanese-exclusive Absol promo with a distribution tied to the Pokémon Card Gym program and the sixth Pokémon movie.
